Special Request
I have a special request. I'm sure many of you are currently, or have just finished writing cards to friends and family. If you can, please send an extra one (or 10, or 20) to our American military heroes who are recuperating from wounds this Christmas Season. Please enclose a short note thanking them for their service and personal sacrifice. They are the protectors of our freedom, we must let them know. I realize that even if you sent them out right this second, that they probably wouldn't get there by Christmas Day... but even a couple days late would bring a smile to a hero's face! :)

Your small act of kindness will be greatly appreciated.
Here's the address...

A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20307-5001

This is actually where my Dad was some 36 years ago after being shot in VietNam. I can only imagine not only what it would mean to these true heros, but to their families that can't be there with them this Christmas!

Remember the TRUE meaning of Christmas.....

Chic - That is so cool that ya'll did that! And how cool of the RCMP friend of ya'lls to give ya names of guys that didn't have it as good as him! We all know that none of the guys over there are living on a bed of roses! How wonderful! :)
