My Interview with Christina
1. what was the worst day of your life so far and why?

That would have been the day that I had to tell my two oldest kids that their Dad and I weren't going to be together anymore (getting divorced). My kids were only 6 & 4 at the time, and it just tore my heart right out of my chest to know that I had something to do with their lil hearts breaking.

2. what has been the best day of your life..(not including marriges or births of kids) and why?

December 2, 2002!! That would have been the day that my DH and I got in the Penske truck, and started driving him home.... FOR GOOD! By this point, we had spent 3 years apart (he's military), only getting to see eachother for a week at a time every 7-8 months, the last one was our first year of marriage, with his first deployment being in the middle of that year. We also later found out that we'd conceived our daughter then, too! he he he

3.what is one song that you hate but know every word too and sing alone when noone is listeing?

I'm too sexy... I think that has got to the one of THE DUMBEST songs that anyone ever came up with! However, I'm not too shy when it comes to stuff like that, so it never matters to me if someone is around or not, I torture everyone with my singing! LOL

4.if you could live anywhere in the world where would u live and why?

I would live right here where I am! Well, maybe not in this house if I got to choose, I'd have a bigger house... I just couldn't ever see me calling any other "place" home! I've lived here all my life, born and raised.

5.are you happier today then you were yesterday..and why or why not?

Most difinately!! Because I was blessed with another day with my family & friends, and nothing extremely tramatic (not counting hubby's knocked out teeth) has happened to any of them!

Thanks to Christina for a fun interview! I hope ya'll enjoyed learning that little bit more about me!

Life stuff...
Ok, I looked over my blog and realized that I haven't done a regular "life" post in a couple days. So here ya go..

The past couple of days have been eventful. As I've mentioned (I think), my youngest hasn't been feeling too well. Which simple translates into very late nites for me, even later than what this is use to! And even though she's up so much during the nite, and so often, she still manages to get up at the butt crack of dawn in the morning. However, Weds morning I find that she's actually sleeping in (shouldn't be too suprised, as she didn't sleep more than 15 minutes at a time up until 4:30 am). She's slept so long already that my oldest daughter has made her way to school, and my son will be on his way very shortly. And that is when it happens! The phone rings, it's my daughter calling from school. Yep! You guessed it! She needs to be picked up, she's sick! Ugggg! Which means waking the youngest out of her dream state, and giving up the glorious morning of sleeping in! So I wake her, throw a jacket on her, load her and my son up in the truck and we're off! Pick her up from school, *yawn* drop my son off at school, and head back home. After the drama in the morning, my day went a little smoother. Either that, or I slept walked through all the stressful parts. LOL

Which now brings me to Thursday (which is still my "today"). We had a very uneventful morning. Oldest is feeling better, everyone gets to (and stays at) school with no problem. I actually got a half way decent amt of sleep (Hey! 4 hrs is decent!) My youngest isn't as grumpy as she has been, and I find that I not only have a fun day with her, but a pretty productive one myself. Yeah!! Then it happens! The phone rings, it's my darling hubby, calling to let me know that he's going to be late from work. Now normally this wouldn't get my panties in a bunch, but this time is different. When I ask him why, he proceeds to tell me that he got hit in the mouth with a drill this afternoon, and is now sporting a gorgeous smile without one of his front teeth, and half of the other! Nice!! Now you have to couple this with the fact that we have no dental insurance yet (hubby hasn't been there long enough) which means that the dentist that his employer sent him to didn't do a damn thing for him (Ummm, think "exposed root") and the fact that he's suppose to be deploying in, hmmm... 18 days! So now we have to hope and pray that Workmans Comp will pay, and that he's able to have it done in a timely manner! Oh the joys of life! I certainly can't wait to see what good 'ol Friday is going to bring!

A Wife & Mother's Life

A man came home from work and found his three children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard. The door of this wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog. Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall. In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.

He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened. He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out of the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn all over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls.

As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?" She again smiled and answered, "You know how every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world did I do today?" "Yes," was his incredulous reply.

She answered, "Well, today I didn't do it."

White Feather

This is a recent true story from a friend of mine that I obtained permission to share with ya'll. I will just copy & paste it here. Grab your tissues, it still gives me goosebumps!! Here's her story... non edited!

Hi everyone, as you know my dad passed away on Sunday morning. Thank you all for your kinds words and prayers for my family over the past few months, they have meant a lot to me.

I wanted to share this with you, it made us feel so blessed today.

After Frank found out he had terminal cancer he and my mom started talking about him becoming an angel when he died and he promised to watch over us when he got to Heaven safely. well unbeknownst to the rest of us until today, mom had asked Frank to send her a feather so she would know that he made it to Heaven safely. Guess what we found in my van today next to my mom's seat? A pristine white feather! We all started crying the second she told us about their secret as she held up the white feather that came out of nowhere!

This was such a special gift, I wanted to share it with you guys.

The Letter..... Omg! LOL

Dear Husband:

I'm writing you this letter to tell you that I'm leaving you for good. I've been a good woman to you for seven years and I have nothing to show for it. These last two weeks have been hell. Your boss called to tell me that you had quit your job today and that was the last straw. Last week, you came home and didn't notice that I had gotten my hair and nails done, cooked your favorite meal and even wore a brand new negligee. You came home and ate in two minutes, and went straight to sleep after watching the game. You don't tell me you love me anymore, you don't touch me or anything. Either you're cheating or you don't love me anymore, what ever the case is, I'm gone.

P.S. If you're trying to find me, don't. Your BROTHER and I are moving away to West Virginia together! Have a great life!

Your EX-Wife

_______________________________________

Dear Ex-Wife:

Nothing has made my day more than receiving your letter. It's true that you and I have been married for seven years, although a good woman is a far cry from what you've been. I watch sports so much to try to drown out your constant nagging. Too bad that doesn't work. I did notice when you cut off all of your hair last week, the first thing that came to mind was "You look just like a man!" My mother raised me to not say anything if you can't say anything nice. When you cooked my favorite meal, you must have gotten me confused with MY BROTHER, because I stopped eating pork seven years ago. I went to sleep on you when you had on that new negligee because the price tag was still on it. I prayed that it was a coincidence that my brother had just borrowed fifty dollars from me that morning and your negligee was $49.99. After all of this, I still loved you and felt that we could work it out. So when I discovered that I had hit the lotto for ten million dollars, I quit my job and bought us two tickets to Jamaica. But when I got home you were gone. Everything happens for a reason I guess. I hope you have the filling life you always wanted. My lawyer said with your letter that you wrote, you won't get a dime from me. So take care.

P.S. I don't know if I ever told you this but Carl, my brother was born Carla. I hope that's not a problem.

What is this?

I suppose you would say "Well, I would say it was a chocolate chip cookie", and that would be all the meaning it would have to you. Well, to me, it is a single chocolate chip cookie, that should, in fact, by several chocolate chip cookies! Ok, ok. I should tell you the rest of the story...

As I mentioned last nite, I went out to my Mom's, and when I got home everyone was in bed, most everyone asleep. There were four rows (yes! I said rows!) of cookies on the counter when I got home, and still there when I went to bed. However, when I get up in the morning, there are only three cookies! No! Not three rows, three cookies! So I proceed to ask the kids how many cookies they had, if any. I find out that my daughter put two in her lunch, my son ate one, and there are three still there, as I said. Which means to me that hubby took all but SIX of the 4 ROWS of cookies!

Now don't get me wrong, I know that the cookies are not only for the kids, they are for hubby as well, if he wants them. However, he doesn't have to take all the cookies! Geesh! lol

My evening...

Was actually pretty nice, aside from the lil one still not feeling too good. We had a delicious dinner (if I do say so myself), DH went downstairs and worked on the bedroom some more while Rach and I played and played upstairs. Then after I got her to bed and DH came upstairs for the nite, I went out by my Mom's and visited for awhile. It's amazing how much you can learn about your own life when you have a casual conversation with your Mother! lol She also told me about the cutest thing that Rach said to her while I was gone with my oldest getting her glasses.. Mom had brought over some coffee with her in one of those coffee cups with a lid, and Rach wanted a drink. She, of course, gave her some, and when Rach took a sip of it she looked up at my Mom and said, "Mmmmm, this is my favorite!" lol Now you have to understand that she just turned two!

Speaking of both my daughters. I was also enlighted to another cute fact! Seems as though my oldest daughter was tryin to teach the lil one to say "Okie Dokie". Well, with her being so young, that was a mouth full and kept coming out "Okie Okie". Which my oldest has adopted and I hear using quite often now! How cute is that.. the lil one starting "trends" for the older one!

The only bad thing I can think of about my day today isn't even directly related to me, but scares me just the same, and makes you think about how precious every day is. On my drive home from my Mom's there was what appeared to be a pretty bad accident right up the road from my house. A road dead ends into a highway, and it appeared that the driver didn't realize that, or wasn't paying enough attention. Either way, there were fresh skid marks right at the end of the road pretty close to the stop sign and continuing through the highway and a car in some people front yard (looked like he hit a tree). These people yard actually drops down from the highway a good few feet, so I'm sure that the vehicle went airborn before coming to a rest. There were a ton of State Police and local police, two ambulances, a tow truck, a fire engine, and a bunch of volunteer vehicles. I just hope and pray that everyone involved is alright! I'm sure it'll be on the news in the morning, and I'll let ya'll know what I hear about it in a post tomorrow.

Until then... remember to say your "I love you"'s and give your hugs and kisses before leaving your loved ones... even if your not completely happy with them at the moment, because you never know what the next minute in life will bring you!

Yippie!

Welcome back to my little corner of cyber space!

I've obviously gotten my blog all redone! Sorry it took me so long, it was a very frustrating process! I'm not sure that I could even do it again if my life depended on it! lol Ya'll will have to let me know what you think! The graphics that you see for my basic template were created by lil 'ol me, and my imagination.

The whole process would have went so much quicker if I had any experience, or even a little bit of knowledge with html stuff, but alas, I don't! As a wonderful friend of mine would tell ya! he he Thanks, Michelle! Even if you don't think that you did more than "hold my hand"! lol But even given my ignorance, I think it turned out pretty sharp, JMO of course.

I'm not sure if it's me, my computer, or blogger itself. But when I went to change my code on this blog, and tried to edit a couple of my posts to readd some pics, it's just not happening! So if you're reading through my blog, and notice me referencing pictures that aren't really posted, that's why. As soon as I can get them back on here, I will! I even have a really cute one for the top of this post, but can't get it to show up either! Grrrrrrrrrr!! Just have to love computers!!

UPATE: For some reason the upload tool is not working, and that is how I've been trying to get my pictures in my posts. However, I did find that if I put them in just by using the html tag in the html editor, that I can get them here!

The short version of what's been goin on in my world is my youngest is sick, and crabby (& even that is an understatement!), we've finally got started on the basement, and my hubby's deployment is coming up quicker than I'd like! I'll post more in detail about things maybe tomorrow, if I get a chance.

Happy Blogging... and don't forget to leave me a comment to let me know you were here!

Under Construction...

AGAIN! lol Please bear with me while I TRY to make my very own page with my very own created graphics! I'm hoping that this works, and that it ends up looking as good when it's actually done, as what it does in my head.

The more and more I looked at my page, the more I realized that it wasn't REALLY uniquely mine, as anyone could go and find those graphics just like I did. So.... here goes my journey of HTML... again! lmao Stay tuned for a cool (I HOPE!) blog!

TGIF!!

I hope ya'll have had a nice last couple of days! Mine have been pretty busy, between appts, and practice schedules... But at the same time, I wouldn't trade any of the insanity for anything in the world!

I'm also sharing one of my latest animated creations... the big blinkie up top there. It's my first attempt at a blinkie of any kind, and I'm pretty proud of it! :) I hope ya'll like it as well! I've also made one for Halloween, but I'll save that one until it gets a little bit closer to that time.

Here is also a pic of my DD, with her first pair a "heels"! This one was just too cute not to share! She just loves shoes!! I can't make it all the way through a store without her literally begging me to stop and look at shoes. I actually find this pretty cute, at least for now! LOL I'm sure that I won't find this as cute when she gets a little bit older, and starts having a fit to buy them, a opposed to her just begging to look at them as she is doing right now!

I thought I'd be able to get a little more of a post in this afternoon before she got up from her nap, but doesn't look like it. So I'll fill ya'll in on the rest of my happenings later on tonite!

My yesterday...

"Uggggg" is the only single word that comes to mind! I love my youngest daughter with all my heart, but GEEZ! I'm thinking that she can give Mommy a break here and there! LOL

She got up at the butt crack of dawn yesterday, after my son had a pretty sleepless night, so that already didn't help things! Then about an hour or so later, when I went to the bathroom (wasn't in there but a minute, literally!) and came back out, I found that she'd decided to dump all the dogs water from their dish all over my kitchen floor! Uggg! So I grab the mop, and towels, and start getting that mess cleaned up.

While in the middle of doing that, I realize that she isn't standing in there with me, and she isn't in the family room watching her cartoons either. That only means trouble! I go into the living room, only to find her standing on top of the computer desk! Oh... it doesn't stop there! As I get closer to her (trying to appear as calm as possible so she doesn't jump!) I find that she'd dumped what was left in a glass of tea... you guessed it! All over the computer desk, my calculator (those that know me, will understand my stress over that!), and everything else within "liquid distance"! I get her down from the desk, go back in the kitchen, finish cleaning up that mess, go back into the livingroom to clean that mess, then finally grab ahold of her to get her dressed for the day.

After running my few errands, I get back home to lay her down for her nap. A BIG HA THERE! That's just not happening! I tried that for about an hour, and when I heard "Mommmmmaaaaa.... pleaaassseeeeeee!!! I holddd youuuuuu!!!!" from a meek voice in the bedroom, I got her up. How could anyone resist that?! Her brother and sister are home from school by this point, so she's occupied enough to stay out of major trouble while I begin to make dinner. Only to be reminded that my son has soccer practice, so what's for dinner is just not going to work! Ugggg! Can anything else put a cramp in my day? I figure, forget it! Wait for hubby to call to let me know he's on his way home, and have him pick up McD's for dinner!

After getting through dinner, getting my son to and from practice, my evening was much calmer! Whew! LOL I do have to quote my BF, who's "make in the dating scene" after 12-13 years. His comment referring to a potential date (that he really wasn't interested in) just really struck me as funny. He said "Maybe if she's dumb enough, I can just trick her outta 'em!" LMAO I don't know why that struck me as so funny. I guess because I know that he'll find out that woman are just not that dumb! LOL

One of my hobbies...

or some may say Which I suppose wouldn't be too far off the mark, as you can tell by my blog.. I love animations, especially sparkles and glitter... and I love to make them even more! I'm rather disappointed, however, that I can't post them here. For some reason that I haven't figured out yet, they either lose thier animation completely (as with the one below, the water on that tag is actually animated), or they get all kinds of screwed up once posted. (if any of you have any hints for me, PLEASE share!) UPDATE: I think I may have figured out a way to get the animations working! YAHHHH!!!! Anyway... this is my most resent tag that I made with my PSP, I have almost 100 that I've made myself in the short time that I've had the program. Hope ya'll like it!

My weekend...

... was pretty uneventful really. My son had his first soccer game of the season, and they KICKED BUTT... 9-4! YAH for him! He just loves soccer! But it was hotter than a goats a$$ in a pepper patch! I'm more than ready for Fall!! And cant' wait to say...

Hubby was gone for his UTA this weekend, and they had the squadran picnic on Saturday that I really wanted to drive down for, but couldn't because of Danny's game. That was a bummer! But him and the guys in his shop kicked butt against the Marines in the tug-o-war... TWICE! OoooooRAH! he he Can't tell him proud of my honey or anything, can ya?! LOL

The rest of the weekend was even more uneventful, we just hung out at the house. The kids doin there thing, and me doing laundry... Yeeeeehawwwww! I had, and still have, a headache from hell! Not quite as bad as it was yesterday, or the day before, but still enough there to drive a person crazy!!

Since I haven't really posted about my daily doings lately... I'll update you on some of the drama aspects of my life. My DH and FIL aren't speaking... again. But this time I just can't bring myself to push him to make that phone call. DH is pissed at him for not calling to wish our daughter a happy birthday, and would have just let it go at callin him and bitchin about it. However, my FIL didn't care to get gripped at about it, felt that a simple "I'm sorry, I forgot" should have been the end of it, and ended up telling my DH that he had to go, and to call him back when he could talk to him about something else. Grrrrrr!! They haven't spoke since that evening, and I don't see them speaking any time soon, either. Which is sad on my FIL's part, because this time he isn't just walking away from his son (as if that isn't bad enough), he's walking away from his son, his daughter in law, and his ONLY three grandkids! Maybe I'm wrong in how I feel, but to me when you say that family means everything to you, you're not just there when it's convenient for you, and you don't just "forget" about birthdays! Especially when it's a childs. I don't want my daughter to get older, look at her baby book and say.... "Hmmmm.... G'pa was here for my first birthday, but his name isn't here even wishing me a happy birthday on these others!?" What kind of message will that send her as far as her importance to him?

Ok... I'll leave ya with those ramblings.....

Had to make this and share...
I found this online, Author Unknown, and just had to make something out of it! It really puts into words for me the US pulling together for all of the people dealing with the tragedy of Katrina! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! For some reason it's a little fuzzy on here, not sure why, but hopefully it's still legible enough for you to read... Enjoy!
